Fashion's future Lily Heurliere for Blur. Mag, wearing a vintage leather jacket by Real Leather, pinstripe trousers by Depop and rhinestone hoodie by Topshop.
Lily Heurliere shot, styled and written by Rae Martins at Charlotte Street News, Charlotte Street. Shot on a Canon SureShot 35mm 400.
Lily is a student and model, currently living in the heart of London since moving from Oxford to pursue her rising career in Fashion Communications. Her talents don't stop there, not only is she a student but she is also making massive waves in the London fashion industry.
Wearing a 'men's' puff-sleeve leather jacket, Lily doesn't care about gender stereotypes in fashion. Lily is also wearing a black hoodie with rhinestone "Angel" written across the front to bring some feminine elements into the look, the same way she wears long, red nails to balance out the black monochrome outfit; the semiotics we get from the red nails are your typical 'sexy and seductive' stereotypes, coupled with the idea of long nails representing a sassy, feline character.
Merging these different garments into one look shows us that you don't need to be a sheep to every-day, done-before women's fashion, nor do you need to get your kit off for clicks and views - bodysuits and jeggings are boring, embrace the beauty in edgy normcore fashion, f*ck gender stereotypes and look editorial while doing so. Blurring The Lines, if you will.
As she is such a rising star in the London community we knew we had to photograph her - catch extra photos of the BTS of this shoot on our homepage gallery to keep up to date with Lily's journey with Blur, we've loved having her!
For Lily's parting words, she left us with an exclusive update for her future - she's very much looking forward to potentially working with a personal favourite brand of hers - Alighieri - very soon, keep your eyes peeled!
