Poppy, who isn't a stranger to working with Blur. has switched to the modelling world, this time in front of the camera instead of behind it, channelling Gossip Girl vibes outside the National Gallery and Trafalgar Square (we wish it was The Met steps, but close enough). It's only fair that we pay tribe to the OG, GG that shaped our childhoods and threw us into the world of fashion and luxury.

Poppy is wearing makeup inspired by Val Garland in the form of an exaggerated smokey eye to mimic the character and vibe of Jenny Humpfey, from the show, coupled with her notorious resting b*tch face. This rebellious teen narrative is what has helped trigger the feminism and social climate we live in today, paying homage to this sassy, independent female character is something we at Blur. have wanted to do for a long time.

We didn't quite leave the references and nods to Gossip Girl at the 'Met' steps and Jenny makeup, we also wanted to bring a level of androgyny and comfort for all those wearing and being inspired by this look, hence we added an Acne Studios blazer.

With the very 'proper'-dressing character Nate, we decided to merge him into Poppy's look to Blur The Lines, taking his classic suit-and-tie look and turning it into something wearable for all. The ultimate damsel in distress paired with the super masculine knight in shining armour creates a look that is sophisticated yet edgy, smart yet rebellious and princess yet pauper.

We can all learn something from Jenny and Nate - you don't have to splash on designer garments to exude luxury, you can make, trade or thrift all your looks and still kiss Nate at the ball.
