No, this exhibition wasn't a delirious fever dream we all had. Tim Walker's Wonderful Things exhibition gave us what we didn't know we needed, the perfect must-see for all fashion photography lovers and luxury shoppers. Written and shot by Rae, artwork by Tim Walker V&A.

Tim Walker's Wonderful Things came to the V&A from 21 September 2019 - 22 March 2020 offering a unique and creative take on both fashion and photography. Seeing the world through Tim Walker's eyes gives background to the expression "seeing the world through rose-tinted glasses" in the best way possible; Tim wanted us to explore his emotions with us, showing a piece of himself and his state of mind in each shot.

Using multiple different rooms to move through the dream-like state of mind that is Tim's art, using elements like subtle lighting changes and dim noises to create a different feeling in each room, similar to the way our dreams go from odd to nightmare. It's typical to go from a super bright, white room resembling a large hospital to a foggy, blacked-out room using natural buzzing and rustling sounds to trigger your discomfort.

Tim's art is not only on the walls but in every aspect of this exhibition, see above the first room pictured - the lighting and bright, bare walls make the ethos of this section feel very clinical. The fact it resembles a medical room makes you feel slightly uncomfortable and on edge, mimicking the feeling you get after waking up from a dream that wasn't quite a nightmare but makes you feel uneasy.

See above where Tim Walker once again achieves a similar result to the last room in this exhibition, provoking viewers to feel tense feeling by leaving them in the dark, literally, among giant features and creepy noises. These rooms could be compared to nightmares, a lot more sinister in tone using multiple features to leave viewers restless, however, the art is just as beautiful no matter what's happening around you.

Despite feeling like you're trapped in the Rhianna song 'Disturbia' merged with Sia's 'Breathe Me', Tim's photographs very much speak for themselves. The sheer creativity, attention to detail and fashion screaming through each photo there leaves nothing to fault. This exhibition is worth every penny, even if you're not London-based it's a must-see for every art, fashion and photography student out there.
